Autumn is mild and unsettled with temperatures between 8 °C and 23 °C.  Winters are typically rainy and cool with some sunny days (temperatures between 3 °C and 18 °C), usually staying at an average of 12 °C. If you need guaranteed sun during Dec-Mar best head for the Algarve but it is a great time for the Champions league games(Benfica or Sporting Lisbon) Summers are perfect really from April-Sept really nice cool breeze and seems to be always warm and sunny, well over 30 degrees on average. (children certainly need sun block every day even if it starts off cloudy as the rays seems brighter and stronger than in Ireland or England). Surprisingly we have found Oct/Nov for Halloween also warm over 20 degrees but guess we are comparing it to Ireland/England weather. Also in case its important to you, we have not seen any mosquitoes in this resort or area
